Why do YOU work here at Cushman & Wakefield and not somewhere else?
I work in Real Estate strategic consulting rather than Design because I enjoy the opportunities to influence and support client decision-makers. I work at Cushman & Wakefield because it’s new and innovating, and not “settled in its ways.” Here, I can see business-in-action, make my own path, and feel part of a group of clever people all propelling this company forward. It’s very powerful.
C&W has one of the most interesting growth stories in our industry. How has our recent momentum made an impact on your role or created opportunities for you?
Exciting opportunities come to me every day at Cushman & Wakefield. In my role leading our discipline within GOS, I’m interacting with some of the most influential companies in the world, which are lead by some true visionaries. That’s really stimulating. As I understand their challenges and develop ways to address them, I can grow my team and our company capabilities, which always proides a great opportunity.
What solution, achievement or moment are you most proud of while either working at Cushman & Wakefield, or in your personal life?
In 2014, I was honored by the CoreNet Global Northern California Chapter as Service Provider of the Year. This is a recognition of my contribution to our industry by my peers in the Bay Area. This makes me exceptionally proud, but especially so when another professional in my community shares with me how my award has influenced them. That’s a hidden bonus: not only am I lifted-up by that experience, but someone else is, too.

Tell us a little about your story. How did you come to C&W? What do you do?
I joined C&W about 5 years ago, coming from another major global service provider. I’ve been involved in commercial real estate, both in the private and public sectors for about 30 years. What attracted me to C&W was C&W’s sense of creativity, agility and ultimate empowerment. The company wasn’t too big that it couldn’t get out of its own way while at the same time it wasn’t too small where it needed to validate its role as a major service provider. My prior experience has all been in corporate real estate and portfolio management both in-house and for an outsource provider. I’ve been the Account Director on the Pfizer Global Occupier Services corporate account and love every day working with an amazing team, backed by an amazing company and capabilities, and working at a fantastically cutting edge Big Pharma!
Why do YOU work here at Cushman & Wakefield and not somewhere else?
Easy answer — THE PEOPLE! I absolutely love my colleagues…EVERY SINGLE ONE! The intelligence, experience, openness, and camaraderie that defines this company is so refreshing! The people make this company so unique and so WONDERFUL!

C&W has one of the most interesting growth stories in our industry. How has our recent momentum made an impact on your role or created opportunities for you?
My role started off supporting 5 much smaller markets, and has evolved to support over 20 in the eastern region of the U.S. and all of Canada. Through that, I have been able to work with leaders in our company at many levels, and have learned from them all.

The growth we’ve seen has had a huge impact on our team, and although it has translated to some difficult times, it’s also been a time that I feel I have grown in my career and my abilities. Our growth has also provided opportunities for me in terms of working with a caliber of people from whom I can learn from.

What solution, achievement or moment are you most proud of while either working at Cushman & Wakefield, or in your personal life?
I’ve recently returned from maternity leave, so I would, of course, have to say that my son is the achievement I’m most proud of while working at C&W. I’m thankful for the time off I had with him, and the support I’ve received in my transition back to work.
