With the world constantly changing, how has your job, or client’s job changed over the past 10 years?
I actually began my career in commercial real estate 10 years ago, and since then, I would say that technology has been the biggest game changer in both our industry and in general business. The introduction of new platforms have allowed us to be more effective and efficient. In marketing, there has been an evolution in the way we engage with our clients and push out communications. In support of our staple collateral, we are able to mix it up with the use of property microsites, interactive reports and presentations, and social media.

Social media alone has had a strong impact on our industry. It has changed the way we communicate, gather and share information. We have been able to engage clients and build relationships through multiple channels—broadening our communication network.

C&W has one of the most interesting growth stories in our industry. How has our recent momentum made an impact on your role or created opportunities for you?
Since the re-brand to C&W, I would say that we have had nonstop opportunities for business development and collaboration nationwide. I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to get to know my counterparts in other markets. We have some great talent in marketing, and it has been a pleasure collaborating with my expanded team.
With the breadth of services we have now, how are you able to do more today for your clients?
I think the biggest expansion of services has been the cross-collaboration of markets. We have been able to leverage our expanded platform and national team to pitch and win some significant business in KC. It’s been a very exciting two years.
